Naphta began spinning Jungle on pirate radio in his native Dublin in 1994, and played a pivotal role in the emergent drum n bass scene in Ireland. He followed releases on Bassbin, Lightless and Ruff Revival with two 'Democracy Now' LPs on D1 Recordings, in which he utilized his sampladelic skills to deliver blistering critiques of contemporary imperialism from Iraq to Chechnya.
